HPB presents: Enchanted polish Majestic swatch and free hand "Little penguin" nail art

Introduction

Good day darlings. This month for HPB blog link-up we are showing our first indie brands. It might surprise you, but my first purchased indie brand was Enchanted polish. At that time I did not even know it was an indie brand (I did not know what "indie polish" is). I just saw that on FB page of my online nail polish store NPC everyone was excited about upcoming restock of elusive Enchanted polish and discussed how hard it's to get them (this was autumn 2013 and Enchanteds were in very high demand). I decided to try it for myself and get some of this polish. My first restock was quite successful Afternoon delight and Time to pretend, both are fantastic colors. Now my collection of Enchanted polish is expanded and includes some rare beauties such as Gummy worm. My choice for this link-up is Majestic - grey holo with lilac undertone. It's a very pretty shade and it became a perfect background for "Little penguin" free and nail art, inspired by my little boy. Pictures were taken shortly after Andy turned one year and I loved his cute face and outfit so much that I promised myself to create matching nail art. It took me very long to find courage and paint it free hand, but I'm super happy with results.

Born pretty stamping plate BPL-32 review and coupon code.

Introduction

Press sample
Good day darlings. Today I want to show you another stamping plate from Born pretty store which I received for review. This was not the plate which I chose, although I was thinking to get it. BPL-32 is Christmas themed plate, but it has several images which could be used during entire winter season, snowflakes of various sizes, snowman and four sweater designs (size 15 x 21 mm). I'm especially happy about sweater designs, since I had only one among all of my plates. Also there is an image which I think represents pine cone scales  and that's what I used for my nail design. I did background using splatter technique and even after top coat application my nails were not completely smooth, nevertheless scales image transferred perfectly (look at the macros) and it was easy to position it. If you are interested in BPL 032 it's currently on sale (only 3.99$), also fell free to use my coupon code PHDX31 to get 10% from entire store.

Enchanted polish gradient with El corazon metallic tattoos "Silver tattoos"

Introduction

Good day darlings, today I have a design with silver metallic tattoos. For this nail art I started with one coat of Enchanted Polish Reign beau, added sponge gradient with La-la land (at the tips) and Reign beau (closer to the cuticle) and topped this beauty with Rainbow juice. Gradient turned out very subtle, but still lovely. After my polish dried I applied elements of metallic tattoos (application is the same as for regular water decals), let them dry and added one layer of top coat. It has been a while since I wanted to try tattoos in nail art and I'm pretty please with results, although the ring finger with a portion of tattoo on the skin looks strange too me. For the macro challenge prompt "Design without polish" I applied tattoo straight on my thumb nail and it looks ok, I just had to seal it with top coat. Overall, I think that metallic tattoos are nice to experiment with and I'll try to come up another design soon.

HPB Presents: Enchanted polish 2 AM summer night and stamping nail art "Night garden"

Introduction

This month is dedicated to May flowers in Hobby polish bloggers FB group (HPB). It just happened that I accumulated several beautiful floral manicures and I decided to share some of them during HPB floral week (May 15-22). This is my first entry, simple stamping which looks really good, because background polish 2 AM summer night (swatched here) is so reach and vampy. I used QA plate which was my long term obsession and was pleased with results.

Tribal stamping nail art with Enchanted polish Freeze machine "Triangle gradient"

Introduction

I hope you are not tired of thermal polish, because today I have stamping combined with glitter gradient and thermal polish. If you follow my blog you might recognize two previous swatches as a base for this tribal stamping (Termo trio 1 and Freeze machine). I simply love this final version with stamping, all elements just works perfectly together and due to the thermal sensitivity you have several different looks in one mani.  My favorite is medium cold version with purple background and dark blue tips. I can say that my love for thermal polish gets dipper every time I use one.

30 Days of Colour: Emily de Molly Abstract canvas swatch

Introduction

Day 27 of Colour challenge is untried, hmmm most of the polishes I showed were untrieds. So for today, I chose Emily de Molly glitter, which I loved in the bottle, and on swatches, but never knew which kind of base color to use - Abstract canvas. In the beginning of this challenge after swatching Good life, I decided to add Abstract canvas on top and this accidental combo looked super nice.  Black and gold with a bit of color. Next time I have to use Abstract canvas for nail art, it's a beautiful glitter.

30 Days of Colour: Enchanted polish Freeze machine swatch

Introduction

The newest polish in my collection was Freeze machine, gorgeous glitter created by Enchanted polish, which I was able to get at last NPC restock. I decided to combine it with Termo trio polish by Dance legend and to emphasize thermal gradient I applied more glitter at the tips of my nails. It looks like this combination is a perfect match to show sparkling beauty of Freeze machine. It looks especially stunning in normal conditions, when nail tips are turning into darker purple-blue color instead of pale blue. Below you can see plenty of pictures, because I wanted to show how it looks at different temperatures.

30 Days of Colour: Enchanted polish 2 AM summer night swatch

Introduction

I'm really excited about today's Vampy post. I chose another Enchanted polish 2 AM summer night and I love how it turned out. Me and this pretty had difficult relationships, when I first purchased 2 AM, I did not like it at all and sold it. If you know how hard it is to get Enchanted polish from silent restock, you'll agree that my chances of getting another bottle were very low. Luckily, I was able to get it second time, and only after that I realized its beauty and charm. Yet it stayed in bottle, waiting patiently for 7 months, until last week when I swatched it for this challenge and fell in love with my precious 2 AM.

30 Days of Colour: Enchanted polish Kids Mermaid nails

Introduction

It's Thursday and I want to combine two challenges in one post. For ABC challenge we are supposed to do V/W polish and use holographic polish for 30 Days of Colour challenge. That's why I did stamping with Mundo de Unas Violet on top of holographic Kids by Enchanted polish. I chose scale image for stamping and I think this combination looks stunning. With all gorgeous color shifts and holo sparkle it makes perfect Mermaid nails. Even though this look was easy to make it looks outstanding and I'm absolutely loving it.

30 Days of Colour: Enchanted polish Flashing lights swatch

Introduction

Day 15 of Colour challenge is glitter day and I want to share holographic glitter bomb packed with golden microglitters - Flashing lights by Enchanted polish. The concentration of glitter is so high, you can easily wear it without any base coat polish. And of course this polish has outstanding holographic shine, which can melt almost anyone's heart. I'm sure flashing lights would look great on top of colorful background or as a glitter gradient and this is something I definitely wanna try. In fact, I like this polish so much, I even made some pictures with flowers, hopefully you will enjoy this floral photo session :)

30 Days of Colour: Easter dotting bunnies nail art

Introduction

We  are done with colors in 30 Days of Colour challenge and from now will show polish with different finish. Today it's cream and I decided to make another Easter themed nails, because tomorrow will be Orthodox Easter. I did similar nail art last year for Easter and I used several pastel polishes with cream finish, so it was a perfect idea. Inspiration for this free hand nail art came from one picture which I found while searching Easter nails (you can look at it in my References section at the end of this post). Unfortunately it does not have any credentials and I was not able to find original working link. Last year I loved how this nail art turned out, this time I do not like it so much.  First of all, baskets take too much space, I should have made them smaller and second polish smeared in many places after top coat application. Since I'm a perfectionist I had to correct worst smears using photoshop, so that it does not ruin entire look, but you can see remaining smear :(

30 Days of Colour: Enchanted polish Good life swatch

Introduction

Day 3 of April Colour challenge is yellow. I like yellow polish and have several different kinds, but all of them were already used. I just swatched gorgeous yellow satin from Indie polish, that's why I decided to go with my untried gold polish instead. Actually it's fantastic gold-pink holographic duochrome with very appropriate name - Good life, released by Enchanted polish. I love how different it can look dependent on the light and angle. And sorry for short nails, I had to use my right hand to keep up with this challenge.

Nail art "Deep blue sea" with Enchanted polish Regal, plates from Bundle monster and MoYou Sailor 08

Introduction

It's Wednesday and it's time to show my inspired nail art #inspiredbyWednesday. This time it was inspired by Enchanted polish Regal. It's a purple-blue cream and I decided that sea themed stamping using  Bundle monster 2014 Sun kissed collection and MoYou London Sailor would complement it nicely. To add some sparkle I used Color club topper Concrete jungle. Surprisingly application of topper changes color of stamping towards more purple shade, but it looks even better this way.

"Spring flowers" nail art with LaLa land by Enchanted polish andShattered sapphire by Emily de Molly

Introduction

Spring comes so late here in Quebec, we still have a lot of snow on the ground  and nothing is green. Nevertheless, it's already spring in my hear that's why  I created this nail art "Spring flowers". It's blue and white and a bit icy, well, life is hard for first spring  flowers in Canada. Special ingredient in this manicure is old (2012/2013) Emily de Molly glitter polish - Shattered sapphire, which I received only recently. I think it's my first attempt to stamp over glitter and result looks surprisingly nice.

ABC challenge: Enchanted polish LaLa land swatch

Introduction

It's letter "L" today and I'm showing gorgeous LaLa land from Enchanted polish. It was sitting in the box quite long, because I was not sure if I want to keep this polish or not. I'm glad that I tried it on. It's a beautiful color and application was super easy, 2 coats and no problems.  Next day I added some nail art to this background and top coat, results I'll show you latter. It's been 4 days  since I wear it, no chipping no shrinking, still looks fresh and I did not avoid any household tasks. On many swatch pictures LaLa land looks really blue, but it's not like this in reality. That's why for my pictures I tried to preserve more realistic teal color. hopefully you will be able to see it too :)

ABC challenge: Enchanted polish - Dark fantasy and Amazing: "Stripping violet"

Introduction

Today it's time for letter "E" and  I used two Enchanted polishes for this near negative space striping nail art. One thin coat of glitter Amazing + OPI sheer tint makes it near negative adding sparkle and a bit of color to the bare nail. I wanted to use my striping tapes forever and it was a good occasion to try them. This nail art turned out exactly like I imagined and it looks amazing , also it's easy to do even if you are a beginner. Dotting flowers on accent nail make it even more interesting. I love this combo and both polishes, money well spent.

Winter nail art challenge: Christmas lights/candles

Introduction:

Yesterday I joined Winter nail art challenge with multiple interesting themes for the month of December. There are two challenges per week, which is perfect for me, as everyday challenges are too intense and impossible to combine with newborn baby :)

First topic is Christmas lights/candles. Since I joined spontaneously and still had unstamped August 2014 nails on my right (what i did on my left hand you can see here), I used it as background for Christmas lights stamping. And it looks really good in combination with white & gold colors.

September Nail Art Challenge: Stamping Month! Day 15: Clouds & Rain

Introduction:

For today's challenge I created something in between clouds and rain water drops. Abstract blue stamping topped with Djinn which surprisingly adds to the rainy look. I like how Thermo 164 changes background color with temperature. Thermo-polish is really good for Autumn, when your nails are exposed to wide range of temperatures :)

September Nail Art Challenge: Stamping Month! Day 8: Dragons

Introduction:

Challenge for today was dragons, but I do not have any dragon related images on my plates, so I did a dragonfly, close enough, right? ;) This nail art was inspired by one of the nail arts I found on pinterest. It combines, gradient, dotting and stamping techniques. I really enjoyed the process and result, especially when I saw it in the sun light with shining holographic polish.
