30 Days of Colour: Stamping nail art using plate EDM 08 "Mysterious Egypt"

This is my last June post and it's an entry for pastel/stamping prompt in 30 Days of Colour challenge. This nail art was inspired by gorgeous nails created by super talented Nailzcraze. Just looking at them you might think of Katty Perry's Dark horse music video, and that's where original idea comes from. However, I was not super impressed, by this video, but I fell in love with Natalie's nails the moment I saw them. It took very long for me before I made my version of this look. First of all I had to grow unusually long nails and second there were 2 unsuccessful attempts, before I managed to create something worth showing. Gradient was created using dry brush technique with my favorite black - Licorice by Essie and frame was done using MdU black, because it's easier to apply with detail brush. All stamping images come from Emily de molly plate EDM 08. My photos are not as breathtaking as original, but I'm pretty happy with result.

  2. Omg I loooove these! Especially the stamping on the thumb! <3

    1. Thank you Millie, thumb looks really nice on macros :)

  3. Oh this is right up my alley - GORGEOUS! And I love love the addition of this smokey dark gradient.

    1. Thank you so much Catherine, I had to experiment with gradient application, before it started to look good :)

  4. The gradient, framing, stamping....such a technically perfect manicure! I can't even begin to imagine how much effort went into this, you totally NAILED IT!

    1. Thank you my dear, it was such a PITA. I never ever made so many attempts to nail something. And when i first tested idea on a nail stick it was perfect from the first try...gosh I worked really hard to make it happen again on my nails.
