Picture polish Moscow and MoYou London Zodiac 24 stamping

Introduction

Good day darlings. I'm feeling little sick lately, so here is one of my old and never posted designs. Background is gorgeous burgundy Picture polish called Moscow. It has some holo particles, which I was trying to capture, experimenting with light. Simple stamping was done with silver MdU polish.

Challenge your nail art: "Silver & gold Christmas" with Mona Lott from The don Deeva

Introduction

Press sample

Merry Christmas darlings, have a wonderful time with your family and friends. Here is silver and gold Christmas nail design which you might enjoy on this special day. I used wonderful silver glitter from The Don Deeva called Mona Lott on top of the nude peel of base and added some real gold particles using Gold leaf topper from Dance legend. To complete this look I also applied golden Christmas tree and snowflakes from Bundel monster. Using metallic confetti is really challenging for me, but I think this design turned out much better than last year. In fact it was super sparkly, but I completely failed to catch it with my camera. Next time I'm gonna use this glitter on a sunny day and you will see how gorgeous it actually is.

The Don Deeva polish The Brothel collection swatches and review

Introduction
Press sample

Good day darlings. Today I have swatches of wonderful glitters from The Don Deeva polish collection called The Brothel. These glitters not only look stunning, but they also watermarble easily. You can check out my Candy cane design to see it for yourself. The formula is very smooth and pleasantly thin, non surprising for polish which water marbles. These glitters glide on your nail effortlessly, such an easy application, I love it! Unfortunately some really large glitters are sinking. The good news is that shaking of the bottle helps to mix most of them back. In spite of thin formula these glitters are fully packed with holographic particles, flakies, microglitters and glitters of various shapes and sizes. For my swatches I applied two easy coats on top of the nude peel of base and covered them with Seche vite top coat. Let's look at each  polish individually.

Enchanted polish gradient with El corazon metallic tattoos "Silver tattoos"

Introduction

Good day darlings, today I have a design with silver metallic tattoos. For this nail art I started with one coat of Enchanted Polish Reign beau, added sponge gradient with La-la land (at the tips) and Reign beau (closer to the cuticle) and topped this beauty with Rainbow juice. Gradient turned out very subtle, but still lovely. After my polish dried I applied elements of metallic tattoos (application is the same as for regular water decals), let them dry and added one layer of top coat. It has been a while since I wanted to try tattoos in nail art and I'm pretty please with results, although the ring finger with a portion of tattoo on the skin looks strange too me. For the macro challenge prompt "Design without polish" I applied tattoo straight on my thumb nail and it looks ok, I just had to seal it with top coat. Overall, I think that metallic tattoos are nice to experiment with and I'll try to come up another design soon.

30 Days of Colour: Masked affair by L'Oreal swatch

Introduction

Hello my dear readers, today I have swatches L'Oreal  holographic polish Masked affair. I'm a huge indie polish fan, but this mainstream holo made my hear melt. It looks stunning both in real life and on pictures. I was really happy to capture this holo gorgeousness. However, I have to mention that 3 coats are needed for opacity and although Masked affair looks great it did not stay long on my nails.  This polish started to chip and showed tip wear already on a second day, and that's when I realized, that it would not happen with my indie brands.  This was very sad, because I really liked how it looks and do not have any other similar polish. Hopefully I'll be able to use it again for nail art, meanwhile you can check out stamping which I did with Masked affair and posted earlier.

"Sugar lollipop" nails with Femme fatale Vermilion vagabond and Pueen 37 stamping

Introduction

This Lollipop design I created during my first nail art challenge in September 2014 and ever since I wanted to recreate it, because it was super fun to wear. Finally, when I realized that it would be a perfect entry for 4 different challenges, nothing could stop me from doing it. It fits 30 Days of Colour, because I used micro holo glitter polish Vermilion Vagabond as a base, it fits OMD3 challenge, because there is a silver flakie Steel panther and it's perfect for first Glam nails challenge - lollipop. Finally, with real sugar coating it becomes a great entry for our macro challenge. I love this look so much, that I would gladly wear it again and again. And what about you, do you like candy nails? Did you try real sugar coating?

30 Days of Colour: L'Oreal Masked affair stamped with DRK metallic brown using BM plates 415 and 609 "Horologist"

Introduction

My silhouette entry for 30 days of Colour was done using famous L'Oreal holo polish masked affair as background. I was lucky to get it as a present from my polish friend Krise and I understand why it was so popular, this holo is stunning. Masked affair is a bit sheer polish, I applied 3 coats, but surprisingly it stamped an ok image on my middle finger. I also combine this entry with macro challenge and that's why you will see picture with several fingers, it should be 2-3, but I end up having 4 of them in one macro. And do you know who is horologist? I had no idea before I looked it up in the dictionary, so I'm not sure how widely this word is used.

30 Days of Colour: nail art with Femme Fatale Mirror, mirror on the wall and peacock Chez Delaney stamping "Silver peacocks"

Introduction

It's a new month and I continue to follow 30 Days of Colour challenge, feel free to join us and use tag #30daysofcolourchallenge. You can find list of prompts for June at the end of my post. For the first day we  supposed to do Silver/negative space mani and I chose to show silver nails with peacock stamping. My base polish is gorgeous silver/holo glitter  Mirror, mirror on the wall, but pictures below are not very color accurate. You can take a look at my swatches to see how it looks indoor and outdoor, in reality it's less blue and more silver. If you look carefully you also will notice that two peacocks have different thickness of lines, this is because I had to use different stampers in order to flip image. It's a first time I notice that stamper affected line thickness. I loved how this mani looked in real life, but my photos are not perfectly focused, I guess due to extreme shine. At the same time macros are really good, so keep scrolling until you see them.

Emily de Molly Third edition and stamping nail art "Silver and black splatter" BM416

Introduction

Today I want to show simple splatter stamping on top of the gorgeous Emily de Molly polish called Third edition, which I swatched some time ago. Stamping images comes from Bundle Monster plate BM - 416 and since my nails were small compare to image I tried to rotate and shift it to get different splatters on all nails. Silver flaky background makes this nails look interesting even on super close macro pictures, it's really nice to see tiny flakes, glitters and sparkles mixed with stamping.

HPB Presents: Enchanted polish 2 AM summer night and stamping nail art "Night garden"

Introduction

This month is dedicated to May flowers in Hobby polish bloggers FB group (HPB). It just happened that I accumulated several beautiful floral manicures and I decided to share some of them during HPB floral week (May 15-22). This is my first entry, simple stamping which looks really good, because background polish 2 AM summer night (swatched here) is so reach and vampy. I used QA plate which was my long term obsession and was pleased with results.

Femme Fatale Snow White inspired collection Mirror, mirror on the wall... swatch

Introduction

I'm a bit sad because it's my last swatch of polish from Snow White inspired collection release by Femme Fatale cosmetics. Last, but not least and really outstanding glitter called Mirror, mirror on the wall... When I was placing my order I almost skipped this one, well it would have been a bad  mistake, because it has very unique composition. Silver base with strong pink shimmer and holographic glitters of different sizes which sparkles with and without sunlight. No wonder this polish was the first one to go out of stock, if you have a chance do not hesitate, just grab it. For this polish I took some pictures inside and some outside that's why you will be able to see the difference in the color between them.

Stamping nail art Silver fantasy with Dance legend Steel panther

Introduction

This stamping was done after I swatched Steel panther, but I never had time to share it. Stamping image comes from Emily de Molly plate and I absolutely love it, because it looks good in many combinations of colors and stamps perfectly. If you have shorter nails, you also can choose which portion of it to use and achieve different looks. Silver holographic flakes under stamping sparkle in the sunlight and look fantastic on macro shots. I'm not sure, but something is going on with colors today. Stamping polish Fantasy is purple/violet, if you see this stamping as blue, it's not accurate :( and please let me know about it.

30 Days of Colour: Dance legend Steel panther swatch

Introduction

For Metal/Chrome entry I chose silver holographic flakie - Steel Panther by Dance legend. This polish is really beautiful and could be worn either on its own (I used 3 coats) or on top of the colorful base. However, it was not easy to capture beautiful holographic sparkle. I tried several approaches and I think it worked. My favorite is last macro image where you can see multiple holographic flakes shining with all colors.

30 Days of Colour: Emily de Molly Third edition swatch

Introduction

Day 10, one third of April and Colour challenge is over and I'm not yet tired of posting everyday :) For the grey color I prepared silver polish Third Edition released by Emily de Molly. It's packed with gold flakies and silver micro glitters and has nice formula with good coverage. Finish is slightly textured, but it can be easily smoothed with one layer of to coat. I show this polish without top coat and I think it looks great. Also, this post will be my "T" entry for ABC challenge.
