Colors by llarowe Silence swatch

Introduction

Good day darlings. Today I wanna share these sunny swatches of wonderful flakie polish called Silence. I took these pictures long long time ago and forgot about them until I saw sunshine prompt at 30 days of colour challenge. The combination of thermal Gossamer dust and Silence does look like a sunshine on your nails is not it? Check out macro at the end of my post to see how flakies change their color from yellow-green to pinkish gold dependent on the angle.

40 great nail art ideas: Films and glow in the dark "Dragon Haku" nail art

Introduction

Good day darlings. As soon as I saw "Films" prompt at 40 great nail art ideas, I knew that I'm going to make nail art inspired by one of my favorite anime movies "Spirited away" created by Hayao Miyazaki. One of the main characters in this Japanese fantasy is dragon named Haku, the spirit of the river. I adore him and luckily his image is included in the Miyazaki inspired stamping plate set from HeHe, which I bought as soon as it was released and use constantly. And I though it would be a nice opportunity to try my glow in the dark polish from Dance legend. Pink base polish is thermal and it was hard to decide which state I like more as a background. With pale pink it looked like fine delicate silk for vintage kimono, but images popped more on a bright pink background. I know one thing though, in the dark I could not stop looking at my nails. It was so fascinating to see different colors glow.

Two days wrong Femme fatale swatch

Introduction

Good day darlings. Today I have swatches of gorgeous pink thermal polish from Femme Fatale's Mad Tea-Party collection. It's called Two days wrong and changes color from very light pink in warm state to bright fuchsia in cold. On my fingers thermal shift was well noticeable and I had nice french tips. Two days wrong is also full of pink shimmer and has some flakes inside. Very feminine polish with a nice twist.

Challenge your nail art: stamping decals nail art with Infinity nails 113 plate "Winter wonderland"

Introduction

Good day darlings. Today I want to share super cute nail design done using stamping decals technique. The base polish is gorgeous thermal from Femme Fatale called Blue within Blue eyes and it changes color from pale blue to intense blurple. For stamping images I used Infinity nails stamping plate and I also used a large number of Mundo de unas and some El Corazon polishes to color my decals. Before taking pictures, I was sure that decals were really good, unfortunately with close ups you can see that they are not that great. Next time I'm gonna do decals with better light and probably I should use some magnification. Anyway, it was really fun to make like coloring a Christmas book from childhood.

30 Days of colour: Femme Fatale Gossamer dust swatch

Introduction

Good day darlings, one more swatch for you. This time it's gorgeous thermo shimmer with yellow to orange transition. Those of you familiar with WoF will appreciate that this beauty is called Gossamer dust and the rest can just enjoy this delicate beauty. I love yellow and orange polish and I love thermos, so this one is my ultimate dream polish. When I was wearing Gossamer dust my nails were long and nail tips naturally showed transition to orange. In order to get them completely yellow or more orange I had to use warm/cold water before taking pictures. As with most yellow polishes you will need 3-4 coats to get full opacity, I did 4 layers just to be sure and because I enjoyed putting it on ;) Gossamer dust has very beautiful shimmer and looks great as a base for nail art, which you can see on my previous post. Yellows are not for everyone, but if you like them this polish can easily be a star in your collection. For me, there is no doubt it's my personal favorite yellow, even considering Toxic Buttercup from Crows toes, and it says a lot.

30 Days of Colour: Femme Fatale Gossamer dust and reverse stamping nail art with Monn nails Ellen "Tropical delight"

Introduction

And another month is almost over, summer days are going away too fast. For glitter/tropical prompt I did tropical nails using thermal polish Gossamer dust, so that it matches June macro challenge and instead of glitter I used flaky polish the Silence. Also I tried for the first time reverse stamping, instead of making decals. It's a bit tricky, but faster than decals. I picked up stamping image, colored flowers using gorgeous orange Ellen from Moon nail supply and stamped them on not completely dry and a bit sticky layer of flakies. I had to redo couple nails, because my timing was not good, but this technique is definitely worth learning. Thank you Sumeet for telling me about it!!!  Needless to say I'm in love with result, just look at macros, shimmer, yellow to orange thermal change, flakies and stamping, this mani has it all.

Tribal stamping nail art with Enchanted polish Freeze machine "Triangle gradient"

Introduction

I hope you are not tired of thermal polish, because today I have stamping combined with glitter gradient and thermal polish. If you follow my blog you might recognize two previous swatches as a base for this tribal stamping (Termo trio 1 and Freeze machine). I simply love this final version with stamping, all elements just works perfectly together and due to the thermal sensitivity you have several different looks in one mani.  My favorite is medium cold version with purple background and dark blue tips. I can say that my love for thermal polish gets dipper every time I use one.

Femme Fatale Snow White inspired collection Who Is Fairest Of Them All? swatch

Introduction

Today my post is entry for 30 Days of Colour challenge Glitter/ Animal print. I'm gonna show only glitter part, because my polish of choice was to delicate for any king of animal print. In fact, this polish with long name Who Is Fairest Of Them All? might be the most ethereal in my collection. Tiny silver and holographic glitters, blue shimmer and thermo sensitive base which changes from almost clear (warm) to bright pink (cold) - this mix results in wonderful fairy tale on your nails.

Femme fatale Glass coffin and stamping nail art with Chez Delaney "River house"

Introduction

It's awesome when polish itself inspires nail art, as soon as I swatched Glass coffin I knew it would be perfect for gradient landscape. There was already a nice thermal gradient on my nails, but I added extra green shimmer in the sky with Green thumb of doom. I wanted to achieve peaceful pastel look and instead of white polish stamped with cream, while adding pastel pink color to the lotus flowers. Needless to say, I love final result and below you will find many pictures. Note that Glass coffin transitions from blue (warm) to purple (cold) and see how perception of nail art changes at different temperatures. Wonderful day and night effect.

Femme Fatale Snow White inspired collection Glass coffin swatch

Introduction

If you follow me on Instagram @Phdnails you know that this week I finally received my order from color4nails, which included 5 polishes from new Snow white inspired collection created by Femme fatale cosmetics. All of them are really beautiful, but my favorite is Glass coffin. It's not surprising, since I ordered this collection only because I fell in love with swatches of  Glass coffin. I was a bit upset because most bloggers wrote that thermal effect of this polish is very subtle and normally not visible. I have a week spot for thermal polish and given that Glass coffin also has beautiful shimmer and matte finish, I could not resist temptation. It turns out that in person Glass coffin fulfilled all my high expectation and even more, because on my long nails at room temperature tips of my nails turned purple. Hooray, its delicate blue (warm) to purple (cold) gradient with intense green shimmer is a dreams come true for me, I could not be happier with polish. Enough words, take a look at my pictures (no top coat, I really like its natural matte finish).

30 Days of Colour: Dance legend Termo trio 1 swatch

Introduction

Day 26 of  Colour challenge is about re-swatching nail polish. I started my blog recently and did not post too many swatches before this challenge, that's why I decided to show polish which I swatched for myself about a year ago. Also it's thermo polish and there was no special day for this kind of polish. This polish is by Dance legend is called Termo trio 1 and has 3 different colors. Dependent on the temperature you can either see combo of any 2 colors or all 3 of them, how cool is that? Thermal effect of this polish is really prominent and I enjoy wearing it so much. It also makes beautiful gradient for nail art (here I combined it with glitter gradient). On all pictures dark blue corresponds to cold temperature, purple to medium and sky blue to warm.

September Nail Art Challenge: Stamping Month! Day 15: Clouds & Rain

Introduction:

For today's challenge I created something in between clouds and rain water drops. Abstract blue stamping topped with Djinn which surprisingly adds to the rainy look. I like how Thermo 164 changes background color with temperature. Thermo-polish is really good for Autumn, when your nails are exposed to wide range of temperatures :)
