Emily de Molly Natural beauty Baby boomers and Shamrock foil stamping

Introduction

Good day darlings. Belated post with st. Patrick's nails designs. My base was a baby boomer french with Natural beauty Emily de Molly. On top of it I did foils stamping using gold and green holographic foils from born pretty store. And finally I added one coat of green jelly with holo microgliters - Ursula. Honestly I liked all three stages of this design, especially baby boomers, which look more delicate and feminine compared to regular french.

Nail art with colorful foil stamping fireworks "Happy 2016"

Introduction

Good day darlings. I could not resist and made another firework stamping to celebrate new year. I was inspired by awesome blogger Zlata and used multicolor foil with added round glitter on top to write 2016. Unfortunately after glitter placement, fireworks became less bright, luckily I took some pictures before. If you are interested how I do foils stamping take a look at my video tutorial. So many people ask me about it and what are the trick which I use, that I decided to make a Foil stamping troubleshooting tutorial, with pictures and real time videos. It's gonna take me some time to put all info together, but I hope to post it this month.

"New year's fireworks" with holographic foil stamping

Introduction

Good day darlings. New year is just around the corner, so I could not resist and made firework nail design using holo foil stamping. In the shade it looks just like gold stamping, but in the sun you can actually see those hypnotic folo beams and they become real fireworks. I used wonderful Pet'la plate for this design (fireworks), turns out it has perfect etching for foil stamping. My stamping polish was Konad Black pearl and top coat Revolution by Picture polish. Oh and background is fantastic dark teal August 2014 from Enchanted polish, although you can not see all its beauty covered by fireworks. Also I made another video tutorial for you. Happy new year !!!

Challenge your nail art: foil stamping nail art "Christmas presents"

Introduction

Good day darlings. Today I have another foil stamping nail design. It's called "Christmas presents" and is inspired by gifts which my little son got from Santa this year. I used two beautiful polishes with names which fit fantastically to this mani: pink shimmery polish Once upon a dream from Fair maiden and super interesting blue polish Up above the world you fly Femme Fatale. For stamping I used multicolor foil, which does not look super interesting on its own, but gives fantastic colorful images with stamping.

Reindeer wrapping paper inspired nail art with foil stamping

Introduction

Good day darlings. Today I have nail design of which I'm really proud. In order to combine two challenges, I wanted to make something inspired by wrapping paper with reindeer. Among all beautiful gift wraps which I found online, one with  simple light brown background and foiled reindeer design really cough my attention. I decided to replicate it using foil stamping technique which last time turned out so great. Moreover this time I had special foil top coat from Picture polish called Revolution. It was recommended by one of my readers, the owner of Pins patterns and polish blog. Thank you, thank you so much  it works so perfectly for foils, does not smear them or interfere with holographic shine. However, since I was using White Konad for stamping and red foil it was way more difficult to get clear image. All the tiny bits where foil did not stick where showing right away. I had to repeat several times until it started to work well. So my recommendation is to use stamping polish similar in color to the foil. Unfortunately non of my red stamping polishes worked well for this technique. I also tried to cover entire nail with foil and this worked very well with Color club Berry and bright as a background. Finally, to finish this look I stamped Christmas tree and snowflakes on top of the foiled nails and covered everything with two coats of Revolution. This top coat helped to preserve foil for several days, needless to say it made me super happy.

Gothic nail art with Zoya Domiva and holographic foil stamping "Gothic Movember"

Introduction

Good day darlings. Today I again combine #clairestelle8challenge and #mcarochallenge. It was not easy to come up with Gothic Movember nail art util I noticed this skull with mustache on BM 413. In order to make this design really interesting I decided for the first time to use foil on top of the stamping and I chose matte black background for better contrast. Stamping was done with White Konad polish and right after stamping image on the nail I pressed holographic foil on top of it. The result was really mesmerizing, and hopefully you can see it on photos. In fact, I'm super happy that I tried foils. However, there is one problem about using them, I tried to apply several different top coats, but they all reduce holographic shine, so all pictures are shown without any top. Unfortunately, without top coat holo foil got scratched away after one day of wear, so I'm not sure yet how to make this beauty last long. And there is a video tutorial at the end of this post.

Konad back pearl nail art "Honeybee"

Introduction

There was only one polish starting from letter "K" among my untried ones - Konad stamping polish Black pearl. Therefore I used it to create this bee themed nail art. I have to say that this polish stamps very well and yet I hate it. Why? You probably noticed that my index and ring fingers have black background, I had to redo them completely after I applied top coat on my nails stamped with Konad, because it smeared so badly. And I tried two glossy topcoats and one matte, I gave it super long time to dry (6 hours), nothing helped. It was very frustrating as all my stamping work was just ruined. Since black pearl polish was smearing terribly, I left remaining fingers without any topcoat for this pictures. I did mattify black fingers stamped with yellow Mundo de Unas and surprise, surprise no smearing whatsoever. I love my MdU polish and Konad black pearl is going to "better do not use" box.
