30 Days of Colour: Rainbow honey I miss you swatch

Introduction

Hard to believe, but it's already a last day of April I swatched so many great polishes for 30 Days of Colour challenge, that I decided to finish with the most difficult polish I have. It's a glitter called "I miss you" from Rainbow honey and no matter how much Seche restore I add to this mini bottle it keeps evaporating :( So this swatch is likely my last usage of this polish, unless I decide to dig out some beautiful butterflies and hearts and use them for glitter placement mani. Too bad, this pastel semi-transparent glitters look really nice.

30 Days of Colour: Emily de Molly Serenity swatch

Introduction

April is almost over and sadly Colour challenge is also coming to an end. Today I want to share swatches of Serenity, another Emily de Molly polish. This glitter in a teal cream base was selected by my friend and hopefully she will like my pictures. Serenity has a beautiful combination of glitter colors: gold, purple, teal and blue of different sizes. I think nails covered with this polish look like wonderful jewels made from some sort of natural stone and that's exactly why I love this unique glitter.

30 Days of Colour: Zoya Domiva swatch

Introduction

My choice of random polish actually was restricted, because I wanted to combine it with last day of ABC challenge and use polish starting with "Z". So I randomly picked up one of untried Zoyas - Domiva. It's a black matte polish with beautiful shimmer and I absolutely love how it looks and feels on my nails. This polish is great choice for nail art background, instead of boring black creams.

30 Days of Colour: Emily de Molly Abstract canvas swatch

Introduction

Day 27 of Colour challenge is untried, hmmm most of the polishes I showed were untrieds. So for today, I chose Emily de Molly glitter, which I loved in the bottle, and on swatches, but never knew which kind of base color to use - Abstract canvas. In the beginning of this challenge after swatching Good life, I decided to add Abstract canvas on top and this accidental combo looked super nice.  Black and gold with a bit of color. Next time I have to use Abstract canvas for nail art, it's a beautiful glitter.

30 Days of Colour: Dance legend Termo trio 1 swatch

Introduction

Day 26 of  Colour challenge is about re-swatching nail polish. I started my blog recently and did not post too many swatches before this challenge, that's why I decided to show polish which I swatched for myself about a year ago. Also it's thermo polish and there was no special day for this kind of polish. This polish is by Dance legend is called Termo trio 1 and has 3 different colors. Dependent on the temperature you can either see combo of any 2 colors or all 3 of them, how cool is that? Thermal effect of this polish is really prominent and I enjoy wearing it so much. It also makes beautiful gradient for nail art (here I combined it with glitter gradient). On all pictures dark blue corresponds to cold temperature, purple to medium and sky blue to warm.

30 Days of Colour: Too fancy lacquer Mon cheri swatch

Introduction

Today everyone shows their favorite untried polish for 30 Days of Colour challenge. To be honest, I already used my most favorite earlier this month, because I could not wait so long, it was 2 AM summer night ( you can see this beauty here).  Mon cheri was my favorite among remaining untrieds. It's my first and only polish from To fancy lacquer and I wanted to wear it since last summer. It looks beautiful, the shade of red leaning towards warm pink is wonderful and linear holo adds sparkle in the sun. I loved that Mon cheri is very opaque, almost one coater and show it without top coat, as I really like its natural finish. The difference in color is because some pictures were taken in the sun and some (more pink) in the shade.

30 Days of Colour: Emily de Molly You don't own me swatch

Introduction

You don't own me is definitely on of the oldest polishes, which I bought and never tired and it's also was my first buy through FB group. Unlike all other Emily de Molly glitters in my collection, this one has settled down glitter and now bottle looks half empty :( However it did not hinder much with easy application over Split personality swatched earlier and I really like this combination. This post is also my "Y" entry for ABC challenge, better later than never.

30 Days of Colour: Enchanted polish Freeze machine swatch

Introduction

The newest polish in my collection was Freeze machine, gorgeous glitter created by Enchanted polish, which I was able to get at last NPC restock. I decided to combine it with Termo trio polish by Dance legend and to emphasize thermal gradient I applied more glitter at the tips of my nails. It looks like this combination is a perfect match to show sparkling beauty of Freeze machine. It looks especially stunning in normal conditions, when nail tips are turning into darker purple-blue color instead of pale blue. Below you can see plenty of pictures, because I wanted to show how it looks at different temperatures.

30 Days of Colour: Emily de Molly Sugar free swatch

Introduction

Three weeks of daily challenge 30 Days of Colour are over and I was able to keep up with daily posting and now I even like it. Today's theme is pastel polish and I prepared new Emily de Molly - Sugar free. It's a white cream with lot's of pastel glitters, looks really fun in the bottle and beautiful on nails. It's been 5 weeks since I received Sugar free, and all this time I really wanted to wear it, just could not decide  for which day. Pastel seems to be very appropriate, as it looks pastel and bright at the same time, due to those glitters which make it to the surface. I used 3 coats just to make sure it looks good on pictures, but you definitely can use only 2, or even 1 over white base coat. Most of my swatches are shown without top coat, but for this glitter I had to use clear top coat to get smooth surface (Indie polish fast dry top coat).

30 Days of Colour: Mundo de Unas Neon stamping

Introduction

It's Tuesday and I'm combining again two challenges using Mundo de unas polish with numbers 28 Orange and 38 Green for ABC challenge and both of them are neons, which is perfect for 30 Days of Color. You also might notice that I recycled my Lebedushka swatch as a base for this stamping, this is the only way I could keep up with challenges. As usually there was no problem with MdU stamping, especially considering these chaotic patterns. What do you think about it? Does neon stamping over sparkly textured polish look good? I kind of like it, but it's a bit unusual for me.

30 Days of Colour: Matte finish Autism awareness nail art

Introduction

Today for 30 Days of Colour challenge everyone is sharing nail polish with matte finish and I wan to share mattified nail art, which I did for Autism awareness this month.  Autism spectrum is a group of neurodevelopmental disorders characterized by difficulties in social interactions and communication with other people. There is no cure for this disease, but early behavioral therapy and specifically designed education programs can make a huge difference in the life quality of people with ASDs. Therefore it's really important to recognizes symptoms early in childhood and autism awareness helps to spread information about problem. If you want to participate use blue color or puzzle symbols during month of April, as it's chosen to be Autism awareness month. You can find more info and donate money here or on any other website designed to help with autism.
In my nail art I tried to depict socializing problems of people with ASDs, even though their brains work differently, they should have a chance for normal social life.  I used my top coat Essie Matte about you for matte effect.

30 Days of Colour: Enchanted polish 2 AM summer night swatch

Introduction

I'm really excited about today's Vampy post. I chose another Enchanted polish 2 AM summer night and I love how it turned out. Me and this pretty had difficult relationships, when I first purchased 2 AM, I did not like it at all and sold it. If you know how hard it is to get Enchanted polish from silent restock, you'll agree that my chances of getting another bottle were very low. Luckily, I was able to get it second time, and only after that I realized its beauty and charm. Yet it stayed in bottle, waiting patiently for 7 months, until last week when I swatched it for this challenge and fell in love with my precious 2 AM.

30 Days of Colour: Dance legend Steel panther swatch

Introduction

For Metal/Chrome entry I chose silver holographic flakie - Steel Panther by Dance legend. This polish is really beautiful and could be worn either on its own (I used 3 coats) or on top of the colorful base. However, it was not easy to capture beautiful holographic sparkle. I tried several approaches and I think it worked. My favorite is last macro image where you can see multiple holographic flakes shining with all colors.

30 Days of Colour: Picture polish Never nude and Chillax blocking nail art

Introduction

My post today is a bit different, because I decided to show pictures of nail art which I did 8 months ago before I even started this blog. The only new pictures are macros of nail and polish in the bottle. So this is going to be my #flashbackFriday post :) I really like the idea for this mani, however now I probably would have done it much better and for sure I would have taken better pictures. To be honest, I did this look as soon as I received Never nude, because I was so inspired by it, but I never touched this polish after. Swear to change it and use this beauty soon.  I'm actually planing to dedicate entire May to the usage of Picture polish, since I bought 17 new bottles.

30 Days of Colour: Enchanted polish Kids Mermaid nails

Introduction

It's Thursday and I want to combine two challenges in one post. For ABC challenge we are supposed to do V/W polish and use holographic polish for 30 Days of Colour challenge. That's why I did stamping with Mundo de Unas Violet on top of holographic Kids by Enchanted polish. I chose scale image for stamping and I think this combination looks stunning. With all gorgeous color shifts and holo sparkle it makes perfect Mermaid nails. Even though this look was easy to make it looks outstanding and I'm absolutely loving it.

30 Days of Colour: Enchanted polish Flashing lights swatch

Introduction

Day 15 of Colour challenge is glitter day and I want to share holographic glitter bomb packed with golden microglitters - Flashing lights by Enchanted polish. The concentration of glitter is so high, you can easily wear it without any base coat polish. And of course this polish has outstanding holographic shine, which can melt almost anyone's heart. I'm sure flashing lights would look great on top of colorful background or as a glitter gradient and this is something I definitely wanna try. In fact, I like this polish so much, I even made some pictures with flowers, hopefully you will enjoy this floral photo session :)

30 Days of Colour: Dance Legend Lebedushka swatch

Introduction

April 14 is about textured polish, and I have just few of them, because it's not my favorite finish. Mostly I use textured polish for accent details in my nail art and I used Lebedushka this way, but never actually swatched it. This polish looks gorgeous in the bottle subtle blue with gold shimmer, on the nails it has pleasant textured finish and nice shimmer. Application was tricky, that's why I end up using 3 coats, but on pictures it looks gorgeous, so I'm happy with final result. In ABC challenge the letter is "U" or number, since I do not have any polish starting with this letter and Lebedushka has number 5 in Anna Gorelova collection, I'm also using it as an entry for ABC challenge.

30 Days of Colour: Dance legend Roz swatch

Introduction

April 13 is a duchrome day and I love duochromes, they always fascinate me. I chose to swatch Rose by Dance legend, because it was untried and it's almost a year since I got it. This polish is a part of Chameleon collection together with Boo and Wazowski, which I swatched earlier. The main shift is from magenta pint to golden green, but you can see beautiful intermediate colors as well. Polish is opaque in 2 coats, however some strokes might be visible and application is not super easy. Nevertheless, I really like how it looks on my nails. Roz also counts as my belated "R" entry to ABC challenge.

30 Days of Colour: Lead light stamping "Dancing beauty"

Introduction

Day 12 is about jelly polish and I want to show nail art done with leadlight stamping technique. It's called "Dancing beauty" and was inspired by my best friend, we know each other more than 16 years and she is amazing ballroom dancer and teacher. I had this idea about a month ago and was waiting for my nails to grow long enough. The main challenge in this  art was to make stained-glass windows around dancer and flower, as I did not have stamping image of widow with space. So I had to make stamping decal and cut it into pieces to combine different parts of windows into one with the space in the middle. Also, the stamping image which I used for windows was asymmetrical and it was super hard to position it, as it never looked straight.  Nevertheless, I really like final result and sparkle of Dark crystal on the background makes it even more special.

30 Days of Colour: Easter dotting bunnies nail art

Introduction

We  are done with colors in 30 Days of Colour challenge and from now will show polish with different finish. Today it's cream and I decided to make another Easter themed nails, because tomorrow will be Orthodox Easter. I did similar nail art last year for Easter and I used several pastel polishes with cream finish, so it was a perfect idea. Inspiration for this free hand nail art came from one picture which I found while searching Easter nails (you can look at it in my References section at the end of this post). Unfortunately it does not have any credentials and I was not able to find original working link. Last year I loved how this nail art turned out, this time I do not like it so much.  First of all, baskets take too much space, I should have made them smaller and second polish smeared in many places after top coat application. Since I'm a perfectionist I had to correct worst smears using photoshop, so that it does not ruin entire look, but you can see remaining smear :(

30 Days of Colour: Emily de Molly Third edition swatch

Introduction

Day 10, one third of April and Colour challenge is over and I'm not yet tired of posting everyday :) For the grey color I prepared silver polish Third Edition released by Emily de Molly. It's packed with gold flakies and silver micro glitters and has nice formula with good coverage. Finish is slightly textured, but it can be easily smoothed with one layer of to coat. I show this polish without top coat and I think it looks great. Also, this post will be my "T" entry for ABC challenge.

30 Days of Colour: DRK Nails Metallic brown stamping polish swatch "Is it wood?"

Introduction

It's day 9 and color is brown, I swatched stamping polish metallic brown by DRK. Honestly i picked this polish randomly together with my Creative shop stamper and did not expect mush. However, i was pleasantly surprised that it stamps super crisp and color is so shiny vibrant. The base for this nail art called "Is it wood?" was my bright orange-pink reverse gradient (you can find it here). And I'm delighted how this color combination works together and fits this wood stamping pattern.

30 Day of Colour: Emmily de Molly Dark crystal

Introduction

It's a second week of daily challenge and today's color is black. I'm rarely excited about posting swatches, because my heart belongs to nail art, however today is an exception. I love  my swatches of Dark crystal. This polish was used couple times as a background for nail art, but I never wore it on it's own. It's a black polish how different it could be from other blacks? To me it's the most elegant and enchanting black polish. Millions of tiny holographic micro glitters sparkle on my nails as stars in the night sky. Even though this black jelly requires 3 coats, it's totally worth it.

30 Days of Colour: Orange pond nails "Autumn leaves"

Introduction

It's an orange day and I love orange, so I prepared something very special. It's improved and upgrade with flakie top coat version of my quit popular autumn nail design. This nail art is done using pond technique and I combine layers of home made neon orange jelly with stamping and layers of flakie polish Up Colors Flocado Base, which I also used as a top coat. Pond nails are time consuming as you absolutely must wait for nail polish to dry before layers, but amazing result totally worth it. I love this look so much, because my favorite part of the autumn is colorful leaves, and I do not care that autumn is so far away. At least I can have them on my nails. Do not forget to see macro at the end it's gorgeous.

30 Days of Colour: Emily de Molly Split personality swatch

Introduction

Day 6 is purple and I chose gorgeous but illusive purple - Split personality. This polish has blue base and loaded with plenty of pink shimmer, which is responsible for the purple shine. It's really hard to decided whether Split personality is blue or purple. Tiny copper flakes add extra wonderful touch to the final look of this beauty. I love split personality so much, that it's going to be a double entry fro two challenges: 30 Days of Colour and ABC  (letter "S").
