30 Days of Colour: Dance Legend Lebedushka swatch

Introduction

April 14 is about textured polish, and I have just few of them, because it's not my favorite finish. Mostly I use textured polish for accent details in my nail art and I used Lebedushka this way, but never actually swatched it. This polish looks gorgeous in the bottle subtle blue with gold shimmer, on the nails it has pleasant textured finish and nice shimmer. Application was tricky, that's why I end up using 3 coats, but on pictures it looks gorgeous, so I'm happy with final result. In ABC challenge the letter is "U" or number, since I do not have any polish starting with this letter and Lebedushka has number 5 in Anna Gorelova collection, I'm also using it as an entry for ABC challenge.

30 Days of Colour: Dance legend Roz swatch

Introduction

April 13 is a duchrome day and I love duochromes, they always fascinate me. I chose to swatch Rose by Dance legend, because it was untried and it's almost a year since I got it. This polish is a part of Chameleon collection together with Boo and Wazowski, which I swatched earlier. The main shift is from magenta pint to golden green, but you can see beautiful intermediate colors as well. Polish is opaque in 2 coats, however some strokes might be visible and application is not super easy. Nevertheless, I really like how it looks on my nails. Roz also counts as my belated "R" entry to ABC challenge.

30 Days of Colour: Lead light stamping "Dancing beauty"

Introduction

Day 12 is about jelly polish and I want to show nail art done with leadlight stamping technique. It's called "Dancing beauty" and was inspired by my best friend, we know each other more than 16 years and she is amazing ballroom dancer and teacher. I had this idea about a month ago and was waiting for my nails to grow long enough. The main challenge in this  art was to make stained-glass windows around dancer and flower, as I did not have stamping image of widow with space. So I had to make stamping decal and cut it into pieces to combine different parts of windows into one with the space in the middle. Also, the stamping image which I used for windows was asymmetrical and it was super hard to position it, as it never looked straight.  Nevertheless, I really like final result and sparkle of Dark crystal on the background makes it even more special.

30 Days of Colour: Easter dotting bunnies nail art

Introduction

We  are done with colors in 30 Days of Colour challenge and from now will show polish with different finish. Today it's cream and I decided to make another Easter themed nails, because tomorrow will be Orthodox Easter. I did similar nail art last year for Easter and I used several pastel polishes with cream finish, so it was a perfect idea. Inspiration for this free hand nail art came from one picture which I found while searching Easter nails (you can look at it in my References section at the end of this post). Unfortunately it does not have any credentials and I was not able to find original working link. Last year I loved how this nail art turned out, this time I do not like it so much.  First of all, baskets take too much space, I should have made them smaller and second polish smeared in many places after top coat application. Since I'm a perfectionist I had to correct worst smears using photoshop, so that it does not ruin entire look, but you can see remaining smear :(

30 Days of Colour: Emily de Molly Third edition swatch

Introduction

Day 10, one third of April and Colour challenge is over and I'm not yet tired of posting everyday :) For the grey color I prepared silver polish Third Edition released by Emily de Molly. It's packed with gold flakies and silver micro glitters and has nice formula with good coverage. Finish is slightly textured, but it can be easily smoothed with one layer of to coat. I show this polish without top coat and I think it looks great. Also, this post will be my "T" entry for ABC challenge.

30 Days of Colour: DRK Nails Metallic brown stamping polish swatch "Is it wood?"

Introduction

It's day 9 and color is brown, I swatched stamping polish metallic brown by DRK. Honestly i picked this polish randomly together with my Creative shop stamper and did not expect mush. However, i was pleasantly surprised that it stamps super crisp and color is so shiny vibrant. The base for this nail art called "Is it wood?" was my bright orange-pink reverse gradient (you can find it here). And I'm delighted how this color combination works together and fits this wood stamping pattern.

30 Day of Colour: Emmily de Molly Dark crystal

Introduction

It's a second week of daily challenge and today's color is black. I'm rarely excited about posting swatches, because my heart belongs to nail art, however today is an exception. I love  my swatches of Dark crystal. This polish was used couple times as a background for nail art, but I never wore it on it's own. It's a black polish how different it could be from other blacks? To me it's the most elegant and enchanting black polish. Millions of tiny holographic micro glitters sparkle on my nails as stars in the night sky. Even though this black jelly requires 3 coats, it's totally worth it.

30 Days of Colour: Orange pond nails "Autumn leaves"

Introduction

It's an orange day and I love orange, so I prepared something very special. It's improved and upgrade with flakie top coat version of my quit popular autumn nail design. This nail art is done using pond technique and I combine layers of home made neon orange jelly with stamping and layers of flakie polish Up Colors Flocado Base, which I also used as a top coat. Pond nails are time consuming as you absolutely must wait for nail polish to dry before layers, but amazing result totally worth it. I love this look so much, because my favorite part of the autumn is colorful leaves, and I do not care that autumn is so far away. At least I can have them on my nails. Do not forget to see macro at the end it's gorgeous.

30 Days of Colour: Emily de Molly Split personality swatch

Introduction

Day 6 is purple and I chose gorgeous but illusive purple - Split personality. This polish has blue base and loaded with plenty of pink shimmer, which is responsible for the purple shine. It's really hard to decided whether Split personality is blue or purple. Tiny copper flakes add extra wonderful touch to the final look of this beauty. I love split personality so much, that it's going to be a double entry fro two challenges: 30 Days of Colour and ABC  (letter "S").

30 Days of Colour: Mundo de Unas dark green floral stamping "Green and greener"

Introduction

It's day 5, the color is green and I swatched dark green Mundo de Unas stamping polish, which I never used before. My base color is also green - beautiful Frolic in the ocean by Indie polish, which I swatched in March. The dark green stamps really crisp and easy, as most of Mundo de Unas polishes and in the bottle it does not separate as badly as others. Even though it's a very dark color, you can stamp it over black and it'll be visible. You can check stamping swatches over black and white in my review of 30 Mundo de Unas polishes here. To make this stamping more interesting I applied a layer of golden glitter on top of the Frolic in the ocean, and only after that stamped my floral design.

30 Days of Colour: Enchanted polish Good life swatch

Introduction

Day 3 of April Colour challenge is yellow. I like yellow polish and have several different kinds, but all of them were already used. I just swatched gorgeous yellow satin from Indie polish, that's why I decided to go with my untried gold polish instead. Actually it's fantastic gold-pink holographic duochrome with very appropriate name - Good life, released by Enchanted polish. I love how different it can look dependent on the light and angle. And sorry for short nails, I had to use my right hand to keep up with this challenge.

30 Days of Colour: Emily de Molly Shattered sapphire swatch

Introduction

April is an Autism awareness month and the color of this month is blue. That's probably why we start our 30 Days of Colour Swatch Challenge with blue. I decided to show one of my blue glitters - Shattered sapphire. It's an old polish release by Emily de Molly and it's beautifully amazing, glitter did not sink at all over years!!! Hayley makes some of the finest and balanced glitters on the indie market, and I have quite a few of them. Shamefully I do not wear glitters very often, but I'll definitely try to show you more of them during this month.
