"New year's fireworks" with holographic foil stamping

Introduction

Good day darlings. New year is just around the corner, so I could not resist and made firework nail design using holo foil stamping. In the shade it looks just like gold stamping, but in the sun you can actually see those hypnotic folo beams and they become real fireworks. I used wonderful Pet'la plate for this design (fireworks), turns out it has perfect etching for foil stamping. My stamping polish was Konad Black pearl and top coat Revolution by Picture polish. Oh and background is fantastic dark teal August 2014 from Enchanted polish, although you can not see all its beauty covered by fireworks. Also I made another video tutorial for you. Happy new year !!!

Miniature water marble tutorial and best designs of 2015

Introduction

Good day darlings. It's time to reveal which of mine designs you loved the most. And without any doubt the most popular and most loved was miniature water marble design "Exotic flowers" from my birthday. I myself think that it definitely was very special and deserves to be on top. Since August many of you were asking if I can post a tutorial for this nail art and sure enough I promised to make it asap. LOL, little did I know about life... so many things happened after my birthday, including my unexpected 2.5 month vacation in Russia, that I could not find time to make it. But I always remembered about it and finally the tutorial is ready. The most important part is to use small dish for water marble and wait for it to dry completely before taking it out. This can take several hours as in a small dish polish does not spread a lot and water marble becomes quite thick. There is an advantage of slow drying, you can take more time to draw your design and colors stay really vivid. Hopefully you will like it and find it helpful. And at the end I also included collage with five of my most popular nail designs of Instagram.

Glitter placement lead lighting with The Don Deeva collection Lost my marbles "Floral glitter lighting"

Introduction

Press samples

Good day darlings. I know you really loved my Christmas glitter placement and I also enjoyed wearing it so much. That's why I decided to make another design with glitter placement. And because it was not time consuming enough, I combined it with individual glitter lead lighting. I call it glitter lighting for short, omg... did I just invent new nail art technique??? And I just had to add some stamping on top, I'm a real stampaholic after all. For lead lighting I used outstanding neon jellies from The Don Deeva collection called Lost my marbles. They also water marble and have shimmer inside, wow. Before I used OPI tints for lead lighting and it was a pain, because as top coats they are quite sticky and if you are not quick enough tend to form tiny filaments, sort of like melted cheese. I hated it. There is no such problem with Lost my marbles, as they glide right on and covered each glitter effortlessly, I was super impressed. It was such a pleasure to lead light with them. Take a look at my video tutorial to learn more about "glitter lighting".

Challenge your nail art: foil stamping nail art "Christmas presents"

Introduction

Good day darlings. Today I have another foil stamping nail design. It's called "Christmas presents" and is inspired by gifts which my little son got from Santa this year. I used two beautiful polishes with names which fit fantastically to this mani: pink shimmery polish Once upon a dream from Fair maiden and super interesting blue polish Up above the world you fly Femme Fatale. For stamping I used multicolor foil, which does not look super interesting on its own, but gives fantastic colorful images with stamping.

Challenge your nail art: "Silver & gold Christmas" with Mona Lott from The don Deeva

Introduction

Press sample

Merry Christmas darlings, have a wonderful time with your family and friends. Here is silver and gold Christmas nail design which you might enjoy on this special day. I used wonderful silver glitter from The Don Deeva called Mona Lott on top of the nude peel of base and added some real gold particles using Gold leaf topper from Dance legend. To complete this look I also applied golden Christmas tree and snowflakes from Bundel monster. Using metallic confetti is really challenging for me, but I think this design turned out much better than last year. In fact it was super sparkly, but I completely failed to catch it with my camera. Next time I'm gonna use this glitter on a sunny day and you will see how gorgeous it actually is.

The Don Deeva polish The Brothel collection swatches and review

Introduction
Press sample

Good day darlings. Today I have swatches of wonderful glitters from The Don Deeva polish collection called The Brothel. These glitters not only look stunning, but they also watermarble easily. You can check out my Candy cane design to see it for yourself. The formula is very smooth and pleasantly thin, non surprising for polish which water marbles. These glitters glide on your nail effortlessly, such an easy application, I love it! Unfortunately some really large glitters are sinking. The good news is that shaking of the bottle helps to mix most of them back. In spite of thin formula these glitters are fully packed with holographic particles, flakies, microglitters and glitters of various shapes and sizes. For my swatches I applied two easy coats on top of the nude peel of base and covered them with Seche vite top coat. Let's look at each  polish individually.

HPB presents: Glitter placement nail art with Dance legend Mountain snow "Christmas glitters"

Introduction

Good day darlings. Today I have something special, my first real glitter placement nail design inspired by hand made Christmas ornament which I found online. I used 1 coat of Dance legend Mountain snow as background and placed white and pale mint green glitters on top. It was easier and not as time consuming as I thought, guess it's because these glitters are quite large. I love how sparkly and original my nails look, really like mini ornaments, ready for Christmas tree.

I tried to capture all aspects of this complex polish and hopefully you will enjoy my pictures.

Challenge your nail art: Ugly Christmas sweater stamping nail design

Introduction

Good day darlings. It's time to share my ugly Christmas sweater nail design. I used classical colors - green background plus white and red stamping. On my ring finger I stamped white image of two reindeers from BP1 plate and added some red dots and heart on top of it. For all other fingers I applied white, red and white polish on stamping plate and did multicolor stamping. It is not perfect, because sometimes white and red mixed together, but that's exactly something that you would expect from ugly sweater, is not it?

Challenge your nail art: stamping decals nail art with Infinity nails 113 plate "Winter wonderland"

Introduction

Good day darlings. Today I want to share super cute nail design done using stamping decals technique. The base polish is gorgeous thermal from Femme Fatale called Blue within Blue eyes and it changes color from pale blue to intense blurple. For stamping images I used Infinity nails stamping plate and I also used a large number of Mundo de unas and some El Corazon polishes to color my decals. Before taking pictures, I was sure that decals were really good, unfortunately with close ups you can see that they are not that great. Next time I'm gonna do decals with better light and probably I should use some magnification. Anyway, it was really fun to make like coloring a Christmas book from childhood.

Neon candy cane water marble and stamping decal with The Don Deeva polish

Introduction
Press samples

Good day darlings. This post is very special for me, because this week I received my very first polish for review from amazing Danette, creator of the Don Deeva polish. She generously sent me two collections and one custom made polish. I'm already working on proper swatches, but I could not wait and decided to use her polish for nail art right away. I've heard that The Don Deeva polish watermarbles really well and was super excited to try it myself. And oh my, it was much better than my expectations, even glitters watermarble perfectly. Since it was my long time dream to make a water marble design with glitter, I used two The Don Deeva jellies and one glitter for festive candy cane design. It turned out super bright and just a bit too neon for candy cane, but I still love it. Do not forget to check video to see for yourself how easy this polish watermarbles.

Reindeer wrapping paper inspired nail art with foil stamping

Introduction

Good day darlings. Today I have nail design of which I'm really proud. In order to combine two challenges, I wanted to make something inspired by wrapping paper with reindeer. Among all beautiful gift wraps which I found online, one with  simple light brown background and foiled reindeer design really cough my attention. I decided to replicate it using foil stamping technique which last time turned out so great. Moreover this time I had special foil top coat from Picture polish called Revolution. It was recommended by one of my readers, the owner of Pins patterns and polish blog. Thank you, thank you so much  it works so perfectly for foils, does not smear them or interfere with holographic shine. However, since I was using White Konad for stamping and red foil it was way more difficult to get clear image. All the tiny bits where foil did not stick where showing right away. I had to repeat several times until it started to work well. So my recommendation is to use stamping polish similar in color to the foil. Unfortunately non of my red stamping polishes worked well for this technique. I also tried to cover entire nail with foil and this worked very well with Color club Berry and bright as a background. Finally, to finish this look I stamped Christmas tree and snowflakes on top of the foiled nails and covered everything with two coats of Revolution. This top coat helped to preserve foil for several days, needless to say it made me super happy.

Red gradient and golden Christmas ornaments nail art with metallic tattoos

Introduction

Good day darlings. Once again I decided to combine two challenges When colors collideRed and gold prompt and Ornaments for 12 days of Christmas nail art challenge. I started with red gradient including dark red cream Valentine (next to the cuticle), red cream Shock (middle) and red jelly with gold shimmer Vegas (on the tips). This gradient turned out very beautiful and so reach. I tried my best to show it on pictures, but it was even better in real life. To make golden ornaments which would really pop up, I used gold tattoos. It's my second time using tattoos for nail art and I'm absolutely in love with the final result. So bright and festive, I could wear these for entire Holiday season and never get bored.

December macro challenge: Picture polish Never nude swatch

Introduction

Good day darlings. Today we begin our December macro challenge and you will have entire week to post your macros of White/shimmer polish either in our FB group or on Instagram. Please do not forget to use tags #Decmacrochallenge and#macrochallenge, so that we can find each other. My entry for this prompt is combined with another challenge 30 Days of colour. I want to show wonderful off white Picture polish with shimmer and sparse glitters - Never nude. It does look like a sparkling snow in the bottle (take a look at my macros at the end), but unfortunately I was not able to catch the same shimmer on my nails. And even  though application was a bit tricky due to the thick consistency, I still love it a lot.

Picture polish Vegas swatch and Christmas tree stamping BP 01

Introduction

Good day darlings. I was going through my Christmassy shades of polish and realized , that I never showed you gorgeous red Picture polish called Vegas. It's a bright red jelly with gold flakes perfect for Holiday season. It's quite pigmented and gets opaque in two coats. To highlight beauty of this polish and add even more festivity, I stamped gold Christmas tree from BP1 plate on ring finger and added some gold/holo glitter on top. This will be my entry for Stamping Saturday... well there is a stamping, so it should count, right?

Challenge your nail art: Sinful colors Pinky glitter and snowflake stamping pond nail art "First snow"

Introduction

Good day darlings. Today I want to show you another pond mani, this time with snowflakes. Surprisingly, it's a pink pond, because I though it would be perfect for representation of delicate first snow. In addition to pink jelly Carol by Julep I used pink holo Pinky glitter from Sinful colors and this combo turned out spectacular. Also while stamping snowflakes I used both white and silver colors which resulted in very interesting final look. You can appreciate detailed beauty of this design from my macro images, where I was able to catch holo sparkle and depth. I created this design for Challenge your nail art, you can find list of all prompts at the end of my post. And it looks like this 12 days Christmas challenge is going to be super fun!!!

Emily de Molly Corsetry and stamping nail art with MM24 "Black feather - red ink"

Introduction

Good day darlings. Here is my last design for November Clairestelle8 challenge and another entry for stamping Saturday. The prompt was feathers and I decided to stamp huge feather across 4 nails. Black feather, red ink - does not it look intriguing? What are these words about - love or murder or maybe both? And of course do not miss holo sparkle of Corsetry (color4nails exclusive EDM polish) on macros.
