Winter nail art challenge: Santa/Elf/Reindeer

Introduction:

Today' s theme was Santa/Elf/Reindeer and I chose to make free had reindeer after I saw super cute decals on Etsy (link at the end of my post). Usually I create nail art one day ahead, but yesterday I was too busy making turkey. I was a bit worried, that there will be not enough time to create this look, however it turned out to be really easy to make. Little Christmas tree on my pinky I made without any practice, which is not my usual approach :) I hope you like my reindeer nicely decorated for Christmas.

Results:
Figure 1. All five nails with Christmas reindeer at LED light.

Figure 2. Three more images at natural light (cloudy) and LED (last image). LED light shows nice sparkle of Lakodom.

Figure 3. Macro images of reindeer drawing and stamping decal.

Materials and Methods:

Nail polish:
  • Picture polish - Lakodom (1 coat)
  • Julep - Nicolette (1 base coat)
  • Mundo de Unas - Reddish, Forest, Black, White (drawing and stamping)
  • Essie - Sable collar (reindeer drawing)
  • Color club - Cop an attitude (reindeer drawing)
Stamping plates:
  •  Bundle monster - BM302

Discussion:

Lakodom over white polish creates ideal snowy background and Mundo de Unas polishes are super good not only for stamping, but also for drawing. I'm really happy that I decided to use metallic pale green Forest, rather than bright green, it gives freshness without being too flashy. Overall I'm really happy with my reindeer mani and wish all of you merry Christmas !!!
