Aquatic nails with Picture polish, pearls, shells and BM 509 stamping "Blue sea treasures" for #OMD3

Introduction

Good day darlings, I have a huge post today. It combines two entries for #OMD3 challenge - Under the sea and #mynailsandmydrink, two entries for July macro challenge - gradient and nail +bottle and finally studs entry for 30 Days of Colour. How did I manage to combine all of these? I did my both hands with slightly different designs, long and short nail versions of the same sea themed mani. On the left hand I used 3 polishes for gradient, while on the right hand with shorter nails I used only two colors of Picture polish and added studs only on the accent nail. Stamping was done using silver polish from Moon nails supply called Antonio and it complements perfectly this aquatic gradient. I used both top coat and nail glue to fix studs, but they did not stay for a long time anyway. Apart from being super inconvenient to wear, I love this look a lot. This amazing gradient with silver stamping is just so perfect for the sea themed mani.

Jelly sandwich with stamping and Color club Concreet jungle "Princess failure"

Introduction
Good day darlings, I decided to combine jelly sandwich prompt for 30 Days of Colour challenge and Princess prompt for #OMD3, but it was a total disaster. One of my nails started to break somewhere in the middle of preparation for Picture polish contest, I was able to repair it for couple manis, but eventually had to file my nails down. However I was still hopeful to make something beautiful, and had this fun multi princess look in my head. Well, it did not transfer properly from my head onto my nails. Black polish kept bleeding and I totally ruined princess silhouettes with added modification of their dress. On top of this there were multiple bubbles in the jelly. Super disappointing mani. Honestly, I post it only because there are prizes involved in OMD 3 and at least I tried ;)

Picture polish nail art quarterly 1 "Flower power" and my free hand design "Flowers and snails"

Introduction

Good day darlings, today I finally can post my free hand design for the Picture Polish nail art contest (* #ppnailartquarterly1), on which I was working for the past two weeks. It was a real challenge and I made four different designs, you gonna see remaining three later.  The theme was "Flower power" and many people strongly associate this phrase with hippie culture. Since I'm a biologist, my nail art was inspired by the amazing power of flowers which we often disregard. World wide people enjoy the beauty of flowers, forgetting that originally the perform a very important function, they create habitat for numerous little creatures. I've always admired how flowers and animals can co-exist and become an essential part of each other's life. For this manicure I used Never Nude, Dragonfly and Hussy to create fictional dry brush flowers and little snails living among them. Accents were done using black and white acrylic paint. Snails have colors similar to those of flowers and can easily hide among them, while helping to spread pollen from one flower to another. I love the harmony of this mini ecosystem, don't you?

HPB presents: Crows toes Terminal Engagement with starry night sky stamping nail art "The night he was born"

Introduction

Good day darlings, this post is a combination of three different challenges July HPB blog link up "Starry night sky", 30 Days of Colour Black & White prompt and #OMD3 Star sign prompt. Also, I decided to dedicate it to my baby boy who was born 10 month ago, wow time flies... in September 2014 and his zodiac sign is Virgo. Background polish is Terminal engagement by Crows Toes and I have to say it makes perfect night sky, what a shame I waited so long to wear it, more than 6 month... Stamping was done using off white polish from Moon nails supply called Angel, what a sweet name and perfect for this nail art too. I made Virgo sign (yes it's a Virgo sign, check out last macro ;)) on my thumb using decal with glitter placement, because it would have been impossible to place them with my left hand. I love how this simple mani turned out.

Picture polish Revenge and Moon nails Jimena stamping for #OMD3 "Summer flowers"

Introduction

Good day darlings, today I have another post with Moon nails supply stamping polish. This one is a bright turquoise called Jimena and it stamps perfectly. Base color is gorgeous Picture polish Revenge and somehow they work well together. Revenge looks awesome, unfortunately duochrome effect is not very visible on nails, although it got caught on some photos. This stamping is for floral prompt at #OMD3 which I missed, and it was so much fun to create this bright and cheerful summer nail design. I would be happy to know what do you think about this combo?

30 Days of colour: Femme Fatale Gossamer dust swatch

Introduction

Good day darlings, one more swatch for you. This time it's gorgeous thermo shimmer with yellow to orange transition. Those of you familiar with WoF will appreciate that this beauty is called Gossamer dust and the rest can just enjoy this delicate beauty. I love yellow and orange polish and I love thermos, so this one is my ultimate dream polish. When I was wearing Gossamer dust my nails were long and nail tips naturally showed transition to orange. In order to get them completely yellow or more orange I had to use warm/cold water before taking pictures. As with most yellow polishes you will need 3-4 coats to get full opacity, I did 4 layers just to be sure and because I enjoyed putting it on ;) Gossamer dust has very beautiful shimmer and looks great as a base for nail art, which you can see on my previous post. Yellows are not for everyone, but if you like them this polish can easily be a star in your collection. For me, there is no doubt it's my personal favorite yellow, even considering Toxic Buttercup from Crows toes, and it says a lot.

30 Days of Colour: Masked affair by L'Oreal swatch

Introduction

Hello my dear readers, today I have swatches L'Oreal  holographic polish Masked affair. I'm a huge indie polish fan, but this mainstream holo made my hear melt. It looks stunning both in real life and on pictures. I was really happy to capture this holo gorgeousness. However, I have to mention that 3 coats are needed for opacity and although Masked affair looks great it did not stay long on my nails.  This polish started to chip and showed tip wear already on a second day, and that's when I realized, that it would not happen with my indie brands.  This was very sad, because I really liked how it looks and do not have any other similar polish. Hopefully I'll be able to use it again for nail art, meanwhile you can check out stamping which I did with Masked affair and posted earlier.

Sinful colors Prosecco and reverse stamping nail art "Banana love" for #OMD3 challenge

Introduction

Hello my dear readers, today I have non conventional love nails for #OMD3 challenge. Look at this little cute monkey face, is not he happy? Of course he is, so many bananas around, that's true and pure love. Hmmm, not sure if bananas love him back, though... My base polish is Sinful color Prosecco, which was a gift from my wonderful friend Krise, thank you my dear <3 I used reverse stamping technique and stamped with Moon nails supply polish called Maria - a perfect color for this design. It stamped really well both tiny details and larger areas. Unfortunately, my reverse stamping is not very good yet and bananas do not look neat, but I hope you will forgive me. Enjoy your weekend and eat bananas, it's very good for your hearts :)

July macro challnge: Picture polish escapade and stamping with Moon nails Salma "Playful kitty"

Introduction

Hello my dear readers, very short post today for #OMD3 cat prompt and July macro challenge brush shot. I did Ruffian nails with stamping using another polish from Moon nails supply called Salma. As you can see it stamps pretty good, but dependent on the image and stamper which you use might not be super opaque over very dark polish. I used soft creative shop stamper for kitty and firm Konad for bows, looks like result is much better with Konad. Please check out escapade brush macro at the end, it's not a standard shot, but i really love how it turned out.

30 Days of Colour: Zoya Savita swatch.

Introduction

Hello my dear readers, I was really looking forward for "waterfall" day in 30 Days of Colour challenge and even planned exactly what I'm going to do. But, I also was selected to participate in the Picture polish contest, which is really interesting, but tough. So currently all my creativity and energy are going towards creation of this super mani. Therefor, instead of waterfall nails I want to share swatch of gorgeous matte polish Savita from Zoya, which I did before stamping it with metallic Bissu. It fits previous prompt for which I covered vinyls, but not matte finish. and hopefully I'll be able to create waterfall mani before July ends. I'm super anxious about PP contest, so please, please send creative vibes my way!!!! And thank you for your  love and support, it really helps to fuel my motivation to create and post, post and creat and post ....

Stamping nail art with Picture polish Hercynia and caviar beads "Little red riding hood" for #OMD3

Introduction

Hello my dear readers, today I want to show "Little red riding hood" nail art for Book prompt at OMD3 challenge. It's a combination of stamping, free hand and caviar beads. These beads were lying around forever and finally I had an idea how to use them and add extra touch to this cute nails.  I fixed beads on top of the black polish Domiva, so that no green would show. Free hand elements added here and there make this design look complete.

Double gradient nail art with square spiral vinyls from Emily de molly "Beyond colorful"

Introduction

Hello my dear readers today I have a double post for you with both left and right hands done using exactly the same polish, but different nails art techniques. No stamping though ;) I used cream/holo polish combo from my double color blocking post. For the left hand I did first layer of gradient using 4 different creams, applied square spiral vinyls from Emily de Molly and added second holo gradient with four matching polishes. These nails look wonderful and much more light, than with color blocking, exactly as I expected. And it's my entry for colorful #OMD3 prompt and vinyls prompt at 30 Days of Colour. On the right hand I did skittles nails with cream background and holo top, V shapes were done using stripping tape. Oh, and thumb had double gradient round spiral, just for fun. This was my entry for V-shape #OMD3 challenge. There is something magic about this colorful cream/holo combo, I simple love using it.

Nail art with Picture polish Grace and Moon nails Xavier stamping for #OMD3 "Love vine"

Introduction

Hello my dear readers, today as a part of #OMD3 challenge prompt "Leaves" I have stamping nail art with another gorgeous metallic polish from Moon nails supply. It's beautiful green color called Xavier (part of sexy metal set), which is pretty unique and does not exist among colors available from Mundo de Unas. From my macro pictures you can see that this polish stamps perfectly for both images with large areas and tiny lines. Since it's metallic, Xavier does separate in the bottle, so you have to mix it before stamping to get even and beautiful color, but it totally worth it. You can buy this polish with group buy discount from facebook group PSP CooP.

30 Days of Colour challenge: Nail art with double processed stamping and tutorial "Illusive pattern"

Introduction

Hello dear readers, today I want to show you nail art created using double processed stamping. This was a new for me technique and I was really eager to try it as a part of 30 Days of Colour challenge. This manicure also complies with a Pattern prompt for #OMD3 challenge, because it combines two different patterns and just to make it even more interesting I used again multicolor stamping. It was a bit challenging in the beginning to learn double processed stamping, but I end up liking it a lot and even made a short video tutorial for you. Also my accent nail has simple double stamping and on macros you can easily see how different it's from double processed stamping. The bottom line for successful double processed stamping: first pick up with your stamper front image which has tiny lines and only after that pick up background image with much larger areas. You have to be pretty quick and maybe experiment to find best image combo. If you change order double processed stamping will not work, you will end up with most of you image sticking to the stamping plate. If you have any questions about double processed stamping let me know in the comments and I will be happy to answer.

"Good morning" with Harmony from Emily de Molly and multicolor stamping using QA 81 for #OMD3

Introduction

This manicure was created as an entry for three challenges. For glittery day in OMD3 I used super delicate and very beautiful glitter Harmony from Emily de Molly as a base. For 30 Days of Colour Challenge I attempted multicolor stamping with metallic silver and two other colors for gradient effect. Is not it lovely how colors blended into silver polish? You can appreciate it on macros at the end of this post, and by the way macros were done as an entry for July macro challenge. Stamping image was not the best to show gradient, but I absolutely adore it's combination with base glitter. This mani looks fresh, soft and yet bright, just like a perfect summer morning.

Mundo de Unas stamping polish review and swatches

Introduction

Today I prepared something which might be useful for you, my second Mundo de Unas stamping review. You can find my first review here. This time I decided to combine black&white swatches with bottle shots and polish names/numbers, so it's super convenient for you to use it as a reference. There are total 40 polishes swatched and for 27 of them you can find direct links to my blog posts where I used corresponding polish (look for links under macro previews). From bottle pictures you can see which polish separates easily. Metallics gold, silver and bronze separate really bad so I mixed them before taking picture. All pictures were taken under LED light lamp, so there is no variation in the light settings between them. I love my MdUs, yes they are smelly, but never smear and can be easily removed with sticky tape if you want to re-stamp image again.

"Sugar lollipop" nails with Femme fatale Vermilion vagabond and Pueen 37 stamping

Introduction

This Lollipop design I created during my first nail art challenge in September 2014 and ever since I wanted to recreate it, because it was super fun to wear. Finally, when I realized that it would be a perfect entry for 4 different challenges, nothing could stop me from doing it. It fits 30 Days of Colour, because I used micro holo glitter polish Vermilion Vagabond as a base, it fits OMD3 challenge, because there is a silver flakie Steel panther and it's perfect for first Glam nails challenge - lollipop. Finally, with real sugar coating it becomes a great entry for our macro challenge. I love this look so much, that I would gladly wear it again and again. And what about you, do you like candy nails? Did you try real sugar coating?

Femme fatale poisoned apple with stamping for #OMD3nails "Swallow"

Introduction

It's been a while since I first saw OMD3 challenge, but because it was a daily one, I was hesitant to join. Finally I made up my mind to participate and make as many entries as I can. This awesome challenge with prizes is hosted by Jacque from Craftynail, Lindsay from Nailthataccent, Jemma Eeeeknailpolish and Brijit from Brijits Digits and it looks super interesting. Here is my first entry for Day 1 teal. Dark teal polish called Poisoned apple from Famme fatale with some MDU pastel blue stamping. It's true that this blue stamping makes it look more blue than teal, but I like how they complement each other. manu macros at the end to show gorgeous shimmer.
